Tracing Vilene Light Interfacing

Description

Tracing Vilene is a lightweight, non-woven, sew-in interfacing used in dressmaking to trace, copy, and modify sewing patterns without damaging the original. The product is semi-opaque, durable, and suitable for repeated use.

A popular product for tracing individual sizes from multi-size patterns, assembling PDF patterns, drafting new patterns, and making fitting adjustments. Unlike paper, tracing Vilene resists tearing, it ideal for multiple alterations before cutting final fabric.

The material can be marked with pencils, markers, or biro pens, allowing accurate transfer of details such as notches, grainlines, and construction markings. Commonly used as a stabiliser on necklines and curved areas to prevent stretching.
