Join Lynne for a practical, hands-on coverstitch class designed to help you get started with binder attachments and build confidence using them.

This class will take you through the binding process step by step — from understanding what width to cut your binding, to setting up your binder correctly, and then applying binding to a basic sample singlet. You’ll learn how to guide the binding smoothly around curves, such as a sleeve opening, and how to neatly join the binding at the seams for a professional finish.

You’ll leave with a better understanding of how to use your binder attachment and the confidence to start applying binding to garments, activewear, and more.

What to bring

Please bring:

• Your coverstitch machine
• Sewing table and fixing screws
• Your binder attachment
• Sewing notions, feet, threads, and any usual accessories

No cutting or preparation is required — everything will be prepared for you.

Binders are available for purchase at Perth Sewing Centre. Lynne’s favourites are the 10mm Double Fold Binder and the 12mm Double Fold Binder. Please call ahead if you would like one put aside for you.
