Five-Week Beginner Program
Beginners Sewing Course
Learn the basics, build confidence and create practical sewing projects you will be proud to use, wear or gift.
Start Your Sewing Journey
Ready to start sewing but not sure where to begin? Our five-week Beginners Sewing Course is the perfect place to build confidence, learn essential techniques and complete a range of useful projects.
This small-group course is designed for absolute beginners or anyone wanting a refresher after time away from sewing. With only 4–5 students in each class, there is plenty of time for individual guidance, questions and hands-on assistance.
You will begin with machine basics and simple sewing techniques, then gradually develop your skills through a fabric coaster set, lined tote bag, zippered boxy pouch and your first garment — a pair of pyjama bottoms.
Important Booking Information
This is a progressive five-week course and bookings are for the complete program. Each week builds on the skills learned during the previous session, so attendees should be available to attend all five classes.
